劉智聰為視覺藝術家和舊課本收藏家，喜愛香港歷史文化相關故事。著作有《我們的舊課本》系列，書寫有關舊課本與校園歷史，而「舊課本明信片」的插畫靈感取材自他所收藏的舊課本，以當中的畫風繪製全新構圖，加上今天的日常本地用語，再配合Riso豐富獨特的印刷顏色，製造出一種似曾相識又富當代感的風格。
Lau Chi Chung is a visual artist and avid collector of old Hong Kong textbooks. Fascinated by stories relating to Hong Kong’s history and vernacular culture. He has written the “Our Old Textbooks” series, which chronicles everything about old textbooks and the histories of local schools. The illustrations seen on his “Old Textbooks” postcards take inspiration from the vintage literature that he has collected, which he updates with modern slang and phrases. Printed with the recognisable colours and unique texture of risograph, his humourous designs play on giving familiar images a contemporary twist.

劉氏1999年畢業於英國薩里藝術設計學校（室內設計系學士），從事電視廣告美術指導工作多年，同時積極投入個人藝術創作，由早年拍攝獨立短片到近十多年專注於攝影創作。作品曾於不同的國際攝影節展出，與及獲博物館和私人收藏家收藏。當中攝影作品《山水文明》系列 (2013) 獲得連州國際攝影節新攝影年度藝術家獎，另外最新作品《黎明請你不要來The Dayspring of Eternity 》(2021) 亦獲得第一屆香港攝影樣本書獎銅獎。
Graduated from The Surry Institute of Art & Design University College (BFA on Interior Design) in 1999, Lau worked in the television commercial industry as an art director before becoming a full time artist. Lau started out on short films, he mostly works in photography and has exhibited in various international photo festivals. His photography series “Landscaped Artifacts” (2013) has gained him the New Photography Artist of the year from Lianzhoufoto Festival 2013. Lau received third prize of Hong Kong 1st Photobook Dummy Award 2021 at Hong Kong Photobook Festival for his latest work “ The Dayspring of Eternity”.
《SHOWCASE 計劃》
SHOWCASE 是一個由澳門年輕創作者發起的活動計劃，旨在推動澳門當代視覺藝術文化風氣並給予年輕創作者平台展示作品。SHOWCASE 原則上以季度為單位進行活動，並以特約形式邀請來自不同地方的視覺藝術創作者，以微型個展的形式進駐澳門各個非傳統藝術展場，讓創作能夠更貼地走入生活。我們同時亦期許能透過創作者與觀眾的分享與討論，使當代視覺藝術文化植根澳門，製造一片能探索各種藝術可能性的土壤。
