見微知著 Unnoticeable objects

“見微知著”攝影系列(#1至#9)取材自澳門路環自然小徑上看似簡單而樸素的物體,其中有天然的,也有人工製造的。

作品突出了個人對這些奇特物體的看法,以及物體如何在身處的景觀當中以自己的方式存在。就色彩而言,作品也是對澳門自然和視覺感知的讚美。

是這些微小不起眼的物體塑造了小徑的模樣?還是周圍的大自然環境建立了它們的觀感?另一方面,這些物體如何加強我們對空間的記憶,以至在腦海留下深刻的印象?簡而言之,這些微小的物體在我們感知當中,是否澳門自然景觀的一部分?

這系列照片攝於2020年路環山徑解封之後。此時此刻,照片也反映了我們對澳門大自然的認識,以及我們應該如何珍惜大自然。

 

“Unnoticeable objects” photo series (#1 to #9) looks at apparently simple and plain objects, being nature made or manufactured, located on Macau’s nature trails, in Coloane.

The series highlights a personal vision of such peculiar objects and their singular presence within the surrounding landscape. The aAssumed colour palette is also a praise to Macau’s nature and its visual perception.

Do these “unnoticeable objects” shape the trail or are their perception shaped by the surrounding presence of nature? How do they help us to highlight our memory of space and their persistence? In brief, are these “unnoticeable objects” relevant in shaping our vision and perception of Macau’s landscaped areas? 

The photos were taken in 2020 upon regaining access to Coloane trails due to confinement situation. Due to such confinement process, the series also reflects upon our understanding of nature within Macau SAR and how we should treasure it.


FRANCISCO RICARTE

Francisco Ricarte 葡萄牙人,建築師,生於1955年。自1976年開始熱忱拍照,是名攝影愛好者。於2006年移居澳門,在踏足這片土地後,瞬即迷上了亞洲的東方色彩,以新視角回看從前的世界

尤以都市事物、視覺文化、文學及詩歌等方式來詮釋的主題,如身分角落回憶一直是其啓迪之泉。希望藉著攝影展現其內心世界,在不斷發掘和探索的過程中讓其覺知到身周的一花一葉。

 

Portuguese, born in 1955, Architect, photography enthusiast since 1976, moved to Macau SAR, China in 2006. Asia has fascinated him since his arrival in Macau and allowed him to see his former world from a new perspective. 

Themes such as identity, place and memory, especially when explored in urban matters, visual culture, literature and poetry have been a source of inspiration. Through photography he tries to express himself, digging deeper into those themes, fostering his understanding of what surrounds him.
